Hypnosis And Past Life Regression
The belief in past lives or reincarnation is a popular one across history and religion. Many civilizations and religions have believed in it in one form or another. Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism are just a few that have one or both of these ideas present in their theology. Besides the religious aspects, there are many people across time and space that have had an interest in these phenomena. How many have thought that their past life could have anything to do with the present life? Alternatively, the knowledge of it being helpful now?
Past Life Regression (PLR) can be very useful in bringing about positive changes in our present life. However, not many of us care about this as much as we care to know about our past life, out of curiosity.
A past life regression session begins with hypnosis that is done by a skilled person familiar with the therapy; it is possible to do this yourself as well. Before you begin it is a good idea to have several sessions that are affirmations, this allows the mind to accept that the past life memories are okay to remember.
Whether you decide on hypnosis sessions from a PLR expert or whether you opt for the self hypnosis method, it is always recommended that you set time aside to prepare your subconscious mind as well. Of course, the best way for you to teach your subconscious to accept these memories of past lives, is by including affirmation sessions.
It is vitally important before you begin a past life regression therapy session that you believe a few things.
What we have done or experienced in our past life forms a part of our present life as well. These remain dormant in our subconscious mind.
Of course, PLR will show that you’ve had past lives but unless we’re able to use this knowledge to improve the life we’re living now, we will have achieved nothing.
You are expected to take into account your shortcomings in the previous life and not repeat the mistakes in your present life.
*You may believe that everything you remember is an active imagination, and that is okay. You can still experience a release that frees your mind; this could allow the creative process to flow and lead to health and success.
My point is that whether you believe in it or not, PLR exists nevertheless and does so for the better and not for the worse. There’s no harm giving it a try. Some specific reasons.
*If you benefit from what you learn and apply them in this present life, then you could really say that they were actually past life experience.
*Furthermore, it is believed that even if you refuse to accept memories resulting from PLR to indeed be from a past life experience, the very process will quite often free you from other mental burdens.
So what can you say are the benefits of undergoing past life regression?
*You will be much clearer in thought and action
*When you remember past life mistakes, you are more prepared to avoid them in this life. For example, you may have been very mean to someone in a past life. Knowing this will aid you in not doing it again
*In past lives, we have particular talents that are hidden in this life. Experiencing them could bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to your present life, thereby changing you forever.
*It stands to reason that if we’ve been through past lives then surely we would have acquired some talents of special gifts in those lives. PLR in turn searches the subconscious and brings these to the forefront so we can apply them in this life as well.
*You might find solutions to certain unanswered questions pertaining to your present life.
Whether one believes in Past Life Regression or not, the fact remains that you have nothing to lose by giving it a try. Let’s face it, anything which promises to improve the quality of one’s life, is certainly worth trying.
