Know Yourself; Remember Your Past
The theory of Past Life Regression Stories and other births that the soul
goes through is dictated by the Hindu philosophy of karma (deeds) and
athma (soul). According to the Hindu religious scriptures, the soul is
indestructible and it merely changes its form or body the way a human
being changes his clothes after they have outlived their useful years.
This is a very different philosophy than that of Christianity, which
canters around Christ's resurrection. The Hindus state that the soul can
take any form, man, woman or animal. The deeds or karma of a human being
in the present, say the Hindus, will determine the life he or she will
lead in the next life.
One of the most well-known and curious cases concerns a young boy who was
six years old at the time. From a small village in Punjab, this little boy
said that he had been a man named Satnam Singh in a past life. He said
that he had lived in Chakkchela, this man's village, even though he
himself had never lived there. And again, curiously, he could describe it
very clearly.
The family tried to dissuade the child, but the boy continued to claim
that he was Satnam Singh. He even told others what the man's father's name
had been. He said that he had died in his past life in a motorcycle
accident, while he was on his way home from school. His story was
investigated, and it was absolutely found that someone named Satnam Singh
had indeed lost his life in a motorcycle accident when he'd been on his
way home from school. The little boy also revealed very personal details
of Satnam Singh's, all of which were accurate. Even more astonishing, the
man's handwriting was compared to that of the little boy's, and both were
found to be absolutely the same.
Another subject of Stevenson's was a little girl, three years old, by the
name of Swarnalata. She said that she had lived before, and had been a
young woman whose name was Biya Pathak. The child could describe in
perfect detail the house she had lived in as the young woman, and even
took her father there when they were out and about one day. The child not
only said that she had lived there, but that they could get a better cup
of tea in the house than they could on the road. The little girl also
recognized the young woman's brother, and called him by a pet name of the
young woman's, in front of nine people.
Stephenson lists dozens of these cases in his documentation. He also says
that if an injury is caused by trauma in the last birth, it can become a
birthmark in the next one. This was certainly true of a man from Thailand,
who thought himself his own deceased maternal uncle, reincarnated into
this life. He had a scar on his head that matched a knife wound the
maternal uncle had died from in that specific area of the body.
Several Hindu scriptures talk very much about past lives Past Life
Regression Stories. Most notable among these is the Bhrigu Sanhita. This
scripture apparently had a complete accounting of the future and past
births of all souls living; it's unfortunate, then, that the scripture has
been lost to the ages.
Most compellingly, Dr. Ian Stevenson has collected modern rebirth data.
Although scientists still frown on the claims of rebirth, such that it
cannot be said that modern science respects so-called "scientific
information" on Past Life Regression Stories theory, Stevenson's work is
the most well-documented and famous; not least, that was because Dr.
Stevenson had a degree in medicine and was a psychiatrist.
Unlike the current breed of past life regression stories therapists; Dr,
Stevenson did not use any type of induced trance or hypnosis on his
subjects; rather his collection of data is entirely and strictly based on
children who had a spontaneous recollection of the incidents in their past
life.
Yet another case was that of a boy who remembered himself as a man named
MahaRam in his past life. Being shot at very close range killed this man,
and the boy indeed had several birthmarks that looked like scars from
gunshot wounds on his chest.
Many psychiatrists, including Dr. Brian Weiss, the father of modern past
life regression, as well as several other prominent authorities on
psychiatry and psychology, believe there may be such a thing as rebirth;
however, science is still mostly sceptical about it. It's also worth
noting, however, that when people undergo past life reduction therapy,
they can often get rid of life long fears and phobias after just a few
sessions.
Keep in mind that while in a hypnotic state, people are not totally
unconscious. However, this method helps to channel the process of
thoughts, while permitting the person to focus on specific aspects.
For instance, during a trance, the hypnotist may ask specific questions
that relate to the past life. This can help the individual in the trance
to focus on the different rebirths of the soul. Unexpected information may
become available in this lifetime because of triggers set off by the
thoughts and feelings of a past life.
It should also be noted that there are skeptics that believe past life
regression stories information is forced from the individuals and created
through a complex series of implanted ideas. People that have witnessed
this process report that anything but this is happening.
Very basic questions are asked during the first session, these help a
person to understand their present lifetime. Clinical studies and reports
tell us that some people can accurately recall the memories of past lives.
Many people can actually give particular details concerning the events of
a past life. The same series of questions and information may be repeated
in future sessions by using different words.
There is much speculation concerning Past Life Regression Stories
regression and its significance. Down through the centuries many different
religions and cultures have focused on this concept and documented their
finding. The soul is everlasting, immortal, which naturally leads to many
questions. The belief is that the soul of an individual can be reborn into
a new body. While in this body there is a recall of memories concerning
the lifetime before entering the new body.
Various things can trigger this process. For instance, some may consider
hypnotism as a good method for triggering the process. While in a trance,
a person is elevated to higher planes of consciousness. This permits them
to experience a spiritual awakening. This in turn helps the soul to
remember all the past life experiences it has gone through previously.
There have been some cases than an individual has been able to explore
several different lifetimes in their memory. They recall pivotal moments
and the deaths of the body that was associated with those lives. For some,
this helps to explain fears that they have in the present life, as the
previous deaths were ones that the soul had experienced in the past.
Triggering Past Life Regression Stories is possible by using another
method of hypo-kinesiology. While using this process, the muscles are
tested during the hypnotic trance. The muscle reflexes are checked to
discover if there are any type of past life secrets that should be
exposed.
For some people, using this method provides better results. However, some
claim that his method is used to persuade the person to believe their
results are anything more than provoked responses that the body would
naturally have as a reaction.
In some people, Past Life Regression Stories regression comes from sounds,
words, or smells that trigger a memory. During the course of a normal day,
while watching TV or smelling dinner being cooked, an event from a
lifetime other than the present one is remembered. While this can cause
fear, if we explore the experience we may discover the truth about Past
Life Regression Stories regression on our own. Often, this experience
leads people to find someone that has knowledge of this field.
Depending on our reactions and belief system, wall might be built to
prevent us from opening our minds and hearts to Past Life Regression
Stories regression. It is feared that when this is the cause, the person's
spiritual belief system contains fewer solutions than unanswered
questions.
Anyone that is interested in Past Life Regression Stories should
understand that its best to avoid question their current level of belief.
Instead, the possibility that Past Life Regression Stories regression
could give them a clear understanding of their life should be embraced.
Past Life Regression Stories is not an evil practice or some kind of Black
Magic. It's a journey of enlightenment that may help a person expel
current fears or concerns they are experiencing. It may be the way to help
them come to grips with their existence and allow the inner soul to
discover the peace it's been searching for.
