If All Else Fails Try Remembering your Past Lives.

Contrary to what you may currently believe, the amount of people who believe in reincarnation, far exceeds the number of people who don't believe in this mysterious phenomena. For many millions of people who follow religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, reincarnation is a fundamental part of their everyday lives. On the other hand, there are others who are simply intrigued by the very concept as well as the many millions who look towards reincarnation for answers with regards to the many mysteries we are faced with in our daily lives. Whether you're a believer or not, there are some techniques which can help you find out more in relation to any past lives you may have had.

Keeping Track of Your Experiences

All too often we are presented with very real and very valuable clues with regards to a past life, only to brush it aside, believing the experience to be of little significance. It's for this exact reason why it's of such importance to keep a record of events by writing them down. Furthermore, it's of particular importance that you record the emotional effect any given experience may have had on you as our emotions are more often than not, our strongest and most accurate indicators.

Have you ever experienced deja vu? If so, how did it feel or more importantly, how did you feel about it? Search for clues in your present life from as early as you can remember, all the up until the stage where you are today. Here again, making a list can help provide further clues so you should try to list all your likes and dislikes with regard to various foods, religions and cultures, as well as anything else you can think of. Further to this, attempt to analyze yourself as a person as well in matters such as temperament, talents, fears, etc. Even something which may seem trivial such as a birthmark, can often provide you with further clues at a later stage.

Of course it goes without saying that one shouldn't overlook the value of dreams with regards to past life experiences. While it's often taken for granted by many that dreams can provide clues concerning the future, one should realize that the clues we get from dreams can also relate to the present as well as the past. For this reason it is highly recommended that you record your dream as best as you can by writing them down. Another common practice of those in search of knowledge regarding their past lives, is to suggest to themselves before falling asleep that they wish to recall memories from a past life. If after doing this you have a dream which you can remember, be sure to write down all the details as soon as you wake up.

Meditation

While meditation is an extremely valuable and worthwhile tool for anyone wishing to learn more about their past lives, many people have trust issues regarding the information they receive. This is hardly surprising really when when considers that meditation is in essence, a very private and personal affair. Perhaps the only way around this issue is for you to place your trust in your instincts and to follow your feelings.

Meditation is often described as a dream-like state of mind and of course, to a great extent this is true. Just as in a dream, images will come and go and for the most part, these images provide us with potential clues as to our past lives. For this reason, one should always be ready to write your recollections down on some paper so that you can ponder over them at a later time when it is more convenient for you. Being highly susceptible to suggestion, your mind is able to recall any information which you instruct it to but on the other hand, if you don't believe that it is possible to recall past life experiences, then it simply won't be possible.

For some people, absolute silence serves them best when meditating while others may prefer some visual stimulation of one form or another, such as staring into the flames of a fire or staring at the flickering flame of a candle. Others on the other hand may prefer soft music or listening to sounds such as the sound of the sea or even a flowing river.

Recently, audio technology has produced some enlightening benefits by using a process called binaural beats where slightly different sound wave frequencies are used in each ear bringing on instant relaxation, similar to that experienced by the Zen monks during their meditations.

You need a place of peace to practice your meditation, somewhere where you will not be disturbed, whichever method you choose.

Providing one can maintain an open and receptive mind, you may choose to lie down or sit while meditating. Of course your attention should be solely devoted to muscle relaxation and a clear mind. Any thoughts which threaten to distract you should simply be acknowledged briefly and then allowed to pass by. Questions which arise should of course be dealt with in much the same way, Simply by answering them and then letting them go. Admittedly this may require some practice at first but it does get easier with time, Expect only deep relaxation from yourself and nothing else. The answers you are seeking will come to you, even though this may only happen when you're not expecting it.

The pictures you get in your mind will help you to determine something in your life whether or not you believe in reincarnation. Of course, you may not be sure the images are from a previous life but sometimes people are able to piece together sufficient information to carry out research and verify the names, places and occasions which have arisen.

It is perhaps most extraordinary that many people find they have shared past lives with some of those who are close to them in this life. However, the circumstances or the type of relationship you shared may in fact have been very different to the one you're currently experiencing.

Regression helps people find what they receive to be helpful and interesting, whatever their views on the subject may have been initially.
