Using Knowledge Of Past Lives As A Healing Tool

Are you aware of the fact that there are more people who actually believe in reincarnation than those who don't? For many individuals, such as Buddhists and Hindus, as part of their religion, it's a way of life. On the other hand, there are those who are simply curious or maybe looking for answers to help them solve some of life's mysteries along with the people who think reincarnation is the most common sense approach when considering past lives. For those of you who have a desire to remember your past lives, there are quite a few ways you can go about things.

Record Your Experiences

There are admittedly many ways through which we can find out more about past lives but perhaps the most effective means, is to keep a journal, writing down all your experiences, both significant and insignificant. When doing this, one should also acknowledge the importance of making notes with regards to the state of your emotions at the time of these experiences. This is essential as our emotions are a very reliable source of clues and by noting these feelings, one will be better equipped when it comes to the stage when you try to put all the pieces together.

Have you ever experienced deja vu? If so, how did it feel or more importantly, how did you feel about it? Search for clues in your present life from as early as you can remember, all the up until the stage where you are today. Here again, making a list can help provide further clues so you should try to list all your likes and dislikes with regard to various foods, religions and cultures, as well as anything else you can think of. Further to this, attempt to analyze yourself as a person as well in matters such as temperament, talents, fears, etc. Even something which may seem trivial such as a birthmark, can often provide you with further clues at a later stage.

While dreams can represent the present, they can also represent the past so it's fundamental that you do your best to record your dreams as accurately as possible. Anything which may be interpreted as symbolic which shows up in a dream, may relate to the past or the present, hence the importance of keeping track. One approach which many people have found to be very helpful, is the use of positive suggestion. In other words, just prior to sleeping, suggest to yourself that you wish to learn about your past life or lives via the dreams you have. Consequently, when you dream be sure to write down everything you remember of the dream. This should however be done as soon as you awaken.

Past Life Regression Therapy

If you have the opportunity to visit a professional past life therapist, then don't hesitate, just do it. You will be helped to make sense of the information you receive as the professional guides you through a regression. Therapists of this kind are trained and certified by The International Association for Regression and Research and Therapies and the International Association of Past Life Therapists and both of these organizations are likely to be able to help you find a therapist close by.

Meditation

Meditation is another method of exploring your past lives. This is a private way of discovering information about past lives and needs discipline when trusting your own instincts and feelings about received information.

Admittedly, meditation can often feel very similar to daydreaming, with thoughts, visions and images constantly coming and going but one should realize that during this process, some very valuable information will also be passing through. Be sure to write down absolutely everything so that you'll be able to go over it all at a time which is convenient. Also, as mentioned already, the human mind is very open to suggestion so if you tell yourself that you cannot recall past life experiences, you simply won't be able to.

There are various forms of stimulation which people find to be beneficial for meditation and while some prefer silence, others prefer visual or audio stimulation. Such stimulation could for example include listening to soothing sounds such as the sound of the sea. Likewise, visual stimulation could include staring at the flickering flame of a candle or even the dancing flames of a slow burning fire.

Stirring up quite a bit of excitement in this field, is the recent discovery of the benefits of using binaural beats. This is still a relatively new technology which involves sound waves of different frequencies being played in each ear. Results so far suggest that the subject feels instant relaxation at a level much the same as that experienced by Zen monks during meditation.

Rather than force yourself to use any given method, simply ensure that you have an area which is calm and quiet.

Of course one can lie down to meditate but you run the risk of falling asleep, therefor it is recommended that you adopt a sitting position instead. Don't burden yourself with any expectations apart from expecting a state of deep relaxation. Focus should be entirely on muscle relaxation as well as a calm and clear mind. Thought and questions which come to you during this time should be addressed as briefly as possible and then allowed to pass on by. While this may seem challenging at first, with a little practice, it does get easier.

Whether or not you believe in reincarnation, the images you receive will assist you to resolve something in your life. It may not be possible to be sure that the images you receive are from a previous life but quite often people can get enough information to carry out some research and verify names, events and places.

It is perhaps most extraordinary that many people find they have shared past lives with some of those who are close to them in this life. However, the circumstances or the type of relationship you shared may in fact have been very different to the one you're currently experiencing.

Irrespective of your personal beliefs, the chances are that if you take the plunge and experience regression, you'll find it to be both helpful and extremely interesting.
