who were you in a past life reincarnation Regression; Why Should You
Remember Your Past?
Just about everyone has
his or her own theory about the importance of who were you in a past life
reincarnation regression. This is not a new concept; it is one that has
been documented by various types of religions and cultures since the time
of the ancients. Since the soul or spirit is immortal and everlasting,
there are various questions concerning whether a soul can be reborn into a
new body after death. Interestingly, not just a few individuals have
experienced the recall of a past life full of memories in a different
body.
This process can be jump started from a number of different sources. One
of the most common methods is the use of hypnotism. When a person is
placed in this form of trance, there is a belief they are taken to a
higher plane that allows them to experience a spiritual awakening that can
begin to allow all the past experiences of the soul to come back in.
Many times this allows the individual to begin exploring and discovering
many different lifetimes full of memories. The individual may recall
various basic happenings such as the deaths they have experienced in past
lifetimes yet in different bodies. Many individuals may begin to
understand why they have the fears they face in this lifetime by knowing
what the past held for them, since they have already physically
experienced the deaths of past lives.
It is significant to note that when in a hypnotic state, the individual is
not actually unconscious. Rather this method channels the thought
processes and allows the individual to focus on particular aspects.
For instance, during a trance, the hypnotist may ask specific questions
that relate to the past life. This can help the individual in the trance
to focus on the different rebirths of the soul. Unexpected information may
become available in this lifetime because of triggers set off by the
thoughts and feelings of a past life.
It is significant to note that some skeptics think this information may be
forced from the person in the hypnotic state. Many consider that the ideas
are embedded during the process. However, anyone witnessing the whole
process will understand that this is not true.
The theory of who were you in a past life reincarnation and other births
that the soul goes through is dictated by the Hindu philosophy of karma
(deeds) and athma (soul). According to the Hindu religious scriptures, the
soul is indestructible and it merely changes its form or body the way a
human being changes his clothes after they have outlived their useful
years.
This is very different from Christianity's theory of who were you in a
past life reincarnation, which focuses on Christ's resurrection. For the
Hindus, who were you in a past life reincarnation can happen for the soul
such that the soul takes the form of a woman, man or animal, and the karma
or the deeds in the present life will shape what kind of life someone will
have in his or her next life.
Several Hindu scriptures talk about past lives who were you in a past life
reincarnation. Most notable among these is the Bhrigu Sanhita, which
supposedly held an accounting of all past and future births for souls then
currently living. It's unfortunate, then, that the scripture was lost over
time.
Most compellingly, Dr. Ian Stevenson has collected modern rebirth data.
Although scientists still frown on the claims of rebirth, such that it
cannot be said that modern science respects so-called "scientific
information" on who were you in a past life reincarnation theory,
Stevenson's work is the most well-documented and famous; not least, that
was because Dr. Stevenson had a degree in medicine and was a psychiatrist.
Unlike today's past life regression therapists, though, Dr. Stevenson
didn't put his patients into trance or hypnotize them. Instead, he
interviewed children who had spontaneous recollections of the incidents
they experienced in their past lives.
Most noted and perplexing among these cases was that of a small child, a
boy, six years old, from a small village in Punjab. This child claimed
that he had been a man named Satnam Singh; further, he could vividly
describe the man's village of Chakkchela, even though the boy had never
actually been there.
The family tried to dissuade this, but the boy nonetheless continued to
claim that he was this man, and even reveal the name of the man's father.
He said that he had been killed in a motorcycle accident on his way home
from school. This claim was investigated, and sure enough, a man named
Satnam Singh had indeed been killed in a motorcycle accident on the way
home from school. In addition, other details that were very personal were
revealed by the boy, and also proved accurate. Further still, Satnam
Singh's handwriting was compared to that of the young boy's, and was found
to be completely identical.
Stevenson had another subject as well, by the name of Swarnalata.
Swarnalata was three years old, and said that she had lived before, as a
young woman named Biya Pathak. The little girl minutely described the
house that she had lived in and took her own father to the property when
they were out one day. The child said that she had lived there and that a
better cup of tea was to be had in that house than they could get on the
road. Further, the little girl recognized Biya's brother and even called
him by his pet name in front of nine people.
Stevenson's files contain literally dozens of these cases. He also states
that it can often happen that a trauma in the last birth can take form in
the next life as a birthmark. One subject certainly had this happen to
him. He recalled that he was his deceased maternal uncle, and a scar on
his head proved to be a match to the knife wound his uncle had died from,
also on his uncle's head in the same location.
Then, there was the case of a boy claimed to remember his past life in
which he was a man called MahaRam, the man was killed by close range shots
to the chest, the boy had several birthmark like scars on his chest that
could correspond to a gun shot wound.
Many psychiatrists, including Dr. Brian Weiss, the father of modern past
life regression, as well as several other prominent authorities on
psychiatry and psychology, believe there may be such a thing as rebirth;
however, science is still mostly skeptical about it. It's also worth
noting, however, that when people undergo past life reduction therapy,
they can often get rid of life long fears and phobias after just a few
sessions.
Many times during the first trance session, basic questions are asked to
help understand the present life. Recorded studies show that an individual
is able to accurately account for a past life as well as provide great
detail concerning particular events in his or her past life. The same
information is given again during future sessions. However, this may
involve asking a different series of questions to the individual during a
trance.
Another method that's commonly used for who were you in a past life
reincarnation regression is hypno-kinesiology. This process uses muscle
testing in combination with hypnosis. While under a hypnotic trance, the
participants reflexes are checked for variances that might uncover past
life secrets.
This has proven to be a good method of getting results for many people.
However, some skeptics claim that this method only further persuades
people to believe that the results they get are only provoked responses
that the body naturally reacts too.
For some people, the answer to who were you in a past life reincarnation
regression comes from trigger smells, sounds, or words. During the course
of a normal routine, we might be smell a home cooked meal or be watching
television and recall something that never happened during this lifetime.
At times, this can cause fear, but if we explore the experience further,
we will discover the truth about our who were you in a past life
reincarnation regression. This is what often leads us to people that have
a great deal of knowledge in this field.
Based on our reactions and our belief system, there might be walls that
are created that prevent us from opening our minds and hearts to the
process of who were you in a past life reincarnation regression. Some fear
that if this is the case, then our spiritual belief system is one that
contains more unanswered questions than solutions.
It is important for the person who is interested in who were you in a past
life reincarnation regression to avoid questioning their current level of
faith, and instead embrace the possibility that the understanding of the
regression can give them. It is far from Black Magic or an evil practice.
Instead, it is a journey of enlightenment that can take a person and expel
some of their fears and concerns that they have in life. In fact, it can
be a way of helping them come to terms with their own existence, and allow
their inner soul to find the peace it has been searching for. |
